Al-Masjid Al-Haram (المسجد الحرام "The Sacred Mosque"), is the largest mosque in the world. It is located in the city of Mecca. It surrounds the Kaaba (The place which Muslims face while offering daily prayers). It is considered the holiest place on Earth by Muslims. The mosque is also known as the Grand Mosque. This mosque has nine minarets.
Like Masjid Al-Nabawi in Medina, it also has undergone many renovations and expansions. The latest expansion was during King Fahd's reign. Further expansion also has already been planned by the current ruler, King Abdullah.The current structure covers an area of 400,800 square metres including the outdoor and indoor praying spaces and can accommodate up to four million Muslim worshippers during the Hajj period, one of the largest annual gatherings of people in the world.

The Istana Nurul Iman palace is the official residence of the Sultan of Brunei. The palace is located on a leafy, riverside sprawl of hills on the banks of the Brunei River directly south of Brunei's capital, Bandar Seri Begawan, no more than a few miles outside the city center. Its name is taken from Arabic, meaning Palace of the Light of Faith. It is the largest residential palace in the world and the world's largest residence of any type. It was designed by Leandro V. The Ericsson Globe formerly known as the Stockholm Globe Arena, or nicknamed in Swedish, Globen - "The Globe" is the national indoor arena of Sweden, located in the Johanneshov district of Stockholm (Stockholm Globe City).

Shaped like a large white ball, it has a diameter of 110 metres (361 feet) and an inner height of 85 metres (279 feet). The volume of the building is 605,000 cubic metres (21,188,800 cubic feet). It has seating capacity for 16,000 spectators for shows and concerts, and 13,850 for ice hockey.

Millennium Park Bus Depot
The Millennium Park Bus Depot is a major bus station located in Delhi, India and is currently the largest bus station in the world, having overtaken Tel Aviv's Central Bus Station. Constructed primarily by the city's Public Works Department, the depot was inaugurated on 17 September 2010. The depot occupies an area of 243,000 m2 (60 acres), and has the capacity to park up to 1,000 buses at a time under shed, constituting 14% of the total parking capacity of all DTC depots combined (7,000 buses). Though initially used exclusively for the 2010 Commonwealth Games, the depot has been used as a regular bus station operated by the Delhi Transport Corporation post the Games.

Tōdai-ji ( Eastern Great Temple) is a Buddhist temple complex located in the city of Nara, Japan. Its Great Buddha Hall, the largest wooden building in the world, houses the world's largest bronze statue of the Buddha Vairocana,known in Japanese simply as Daibutsu.The temple also serves as the Japanese headquarters of the Kegon school of Buddhism. The temple is a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site as "Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara", together with seven other sites including temples, shrines and places in the city of Nara. Sika deer, regarded as messengers of the gods in the Shinto religion, roam the grounds freely.

The Palace of the Parliament (Romanian: Palatul Parlamentului) in Bucharest, Romania is a multi-purpose building containing both chambers of the Romanian Parliament. The Palace was designed and nearly completed by the Ceauşescu regime as the seat of political and administrative power. Nicolae Ceauşescu named it the House of the Republic (Casa Republicii), but many Romanians call it the People's House (Casa Poporului).
The Palace measures 270 m by 240 m, 86 m high, and 92 m under ground. It has 1,100 rooms, 2 underground parking garages and is 12 stories tall, with four additional underground levels currently available for the general public and in use, and another four in different stages of completion.The structure combines elements and motifs from multiple sources, in an eclectic neoclassical architectural style. The building is constructed almost entirely of materials of Romanian origin. Estimates of the materials used include one million cubic meters of marble from Transylvania, most from Ruşchiţa; 3,500 tonnes of crystal,480 chandeliers, 1,409 ceiling lights and mirrors were manufactured,700,000 tonnes of steel and bronze for monumental doors and windows, chandeliers and capitals; 900,000 m³ of wood over 95% domestic for parquet and wainscotting, including walnut, oak, sweet cherry, elm, sycamore maple; 200,000 m² of woollen carpets of various dimensions machines had to be moved inside the building to weave some of the larger carpets; velvet and brocade curtains adorned with embroideries and passementeries in silver and gold.

Tian'anmen Square is a large city square in the center of Beijing, China, named after the Tiananmen Gate (literally, Gate of Heavenly Peace) located to its north, separating it from the Forbidden City. The Tiananmen Square is the largest city square in the world (440,000 m² - 880m by 500m). It has great cultural significance as it was the site of several important events in Chinese history.
The Tiananmen Gate was built in 1417 during the Ming Dynasty. Towards the demise of the Ming Dynasty, heavy fighting between Li Zicheng and the early Qing emperors damaged or perhaps destroyed the gate. The Tian'anmen square was designed and built in 1651.
