Crystal Mosque
The Crystal Mosque or Masjid Kristal is a mosque in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu, Malaysia. A grand structure made of steel, glass and crystal. The mosque is located at Islamic Heritage Park on the island of Wan Man. This is one of the beautiful mosques in the world.
History and Architecture
The mosque was constructed between 2006 and 2008. It was officially opened on 8 February 2008 at 6:00 PM by 13th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin of Terengganu. It has the capacity to accommodate 700 - 1,500 worshipers at a time.
The mosque is built of glass and steel, smart mosques in Malaysia and has an area of 2,146 square meters. The mosque can accommodate 700 people at any one time and are equipped with information technology infrastructure and coverage of WiFi, which allows guests use the internet to read electronic Quran.
